Artist Statement Femininity is the perfect balance of strength and grace. "Sculpture is all about contact. It has to be alive. With clay, through the human figure, I try to express something emotional for the heart, flesh and spirit. My sculptures are quiet when you look at them but there is more going on. I try to hide energy beneath the peacefulness. I want people to connect not just to the figure but to the process and the emotions I experienced when I was sculpting.
